Workplace Culture, Mental Health & Burnout

August 20 @ 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm
The World Health Organization included burnout in the most recent revision of its global disease handbook, describing it as a syndrome arising from “chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed”.

Given the relationship between burnout and the workplace, it is not surprising that organizational culture plays a role in employee mental health. Join us to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of culture on mental health & wellbeing, and familiarize yourself with the tools you can use to develop a health-supportive culture.

Led by MMA’s VP of Culture & Wellbeing, Susan Morgan Bailey, this workshop will:
  • Describe the factors contributing to employee burnout
  • Identify common influencers of wellbeing and engagement
  • Summarize the benefits of proactively addressing stress and preventing burnout
  • Review strategies to raise awareness, prevent and manage stress in the workplace
  • Develop an action plan to increase awareness and share tactics for addressing stress that align with your organization’s culture
Proactively addressing the issues of burnout can help your organization reduce absenteeism, increase productivity, and positively impact the bottom line.
